I'm looking for people that have built trannies that would be willing to take me for a short drive. I'm researching builders and would like to get a real world feel for some of these units. I live in San Rafael, SF bay area and do freuqent trips to Davis/Sacramento.

I was really impressed with Richard@Brown's Diesel. Spoke to him at length over the phone concerning a buddy's potential '05 transmission upgrade. He does ATS and Goerend upgrades. He really favors the Goerend product.

I am in Petaluma. I do only have a BD T/C, V/B & Double Deep Pan upgrade, but will give you an good idea.



Shops, I would recommend is Left Coast Diesel in Dublin or for a little longer drive, Ken Imler Diesel in Sacramento. I have been to both for upgrades and both know thier ****! Left Coast would be closer for you. About an 45 min drive from Marin County.

J&H in redding is probably one of the best around!



Any one of these 3 shops knows their stuff, I wouldnt hesitate to go to any one of them!!!!!!!!!

Ive got the Suncoast VB & TC and am very happy so far. Brett @ Left Coast Diesel did my install and some minor tweaks. They also have a good rebuilder they use. I think they use Goerand and Suncoast parts mostly. I know Adam Winslet has been useing Suncoast stuff for years.



Being close to you is a big plus. They have several different shop employee trucks there with tranns upgrades for your testdriving pleasure.
