Gateway Diesel Owners Association Gathering for February

Great day at dyno in Tacoma

The weekend of March 9, the Northwest Bombers are having an overgrown BOMB party. We will be able to work on 3 vehicles at once, have a large garage, with power tools, and the able assistance of a number of experienced individuals. We are expecting more than a half-dozen projects, and probably no two duplicated, so if you're seeking knowledge about any of them, from gauges, to wiring, to injectors, to exhaust, this is the place to get it.

Of course, NW Bombers is a "free association" group, requiring no actual membership commitment, and is not restricted to any make or other requirement.

If you are in the Pacific Northwest, and would like to enjoy a weekend of associating with some of the very nicest people in the country, you're welcome to join the fun.

You can read more about it here:

Or, you can email me at the link below.

THis event will be in northeastern Oregon, approximately 15 minutes south-east of Pendleton via I 84, and complete directions will be provided if you want to come. Accomodations will be either camping in your RV (boondocking, power and water limited availability on site, or full hookup at nearby state park - Emigrant Springs - or the Wildhorse Casino), or stays at local hotels. Further details of all this provided in the link above. IF you are unable to communicate via email, you can call 509-301-2292 and talk to me in person most of the time. If you get voice mail, I WILL call you back - just tell me when.

Thanks much

Myself and the Brolins are planning on going weather permitting. We will be parking the 5ers at the casino. Plan on heading down on Friday.

Yes we are. If I can ever get my 5er back from the Monaco repair center.  Mike and I are also wanting to check out the sound of the Jardine. :D :D We both need to dress up the sound of our trucks.

Micheal, if you're interested, I'll get a little live video of you pulling up Cabbage and make it downloadable. perhaps compare 2 or 3 trucks in the same spot same speed.

Kathy and I are planning on coming down on Friday. Will bring that travel trailer we got last October in Seattle right before BD Dyno Days. Really looking forward to seeing you guys again. See you soon.

Big Bob :D

Hey Big Bob where will you be staying. We are towing the 5ers to the casino on Friday and staying in there rv park. I see you have a Jardine exhaust and I really would like to hear it before I get one this June.

Mike

Looks like Sue and I will be back from the coast in time to attend the event. We are planning on it at this time. Don't know if we will bring the 5er and stay at the Casino with the rest of you or not. Still contemplating that one. Don't need any mods done this trip, but are anxious to see some of the other rigs with mods on them. Also want to show off my gauge cluster.

Claymike,

Rob said that there was room up at the BOMBing site for me to park up there. I don't need any hook-ups. :D Now the weather might change this according to the road condition. You might want to check with Rob and see if there is enough room for Mike Brolin and your rigs.

I sure like my Jardine. I just love to hear it sound off!  I backed into a snow bank and tweeked it alittle, also kind of tore off my mudflap. Hope to have them fixed before I get to Pendleton.

Big Bob we are staying at the casino with the Clays. Seems the women folk want something to do as well. Power wagon,Mike Clay and I have been up cabbage with the 5ers. 4th gear,2400rpm,45mph. We both gross at about 19,500lbs+ when loaded for a trip. Doesnt bother me a bit. Course we were heading east not heading down toward the west.  Thats where the Ebrake would do the work. :D :D

Mike,

If I decide to park at the Casino, will I need to make reservations? I know Jan Hanson is planning some activities for the ladies at the BOMBing party.

We are not planning on leaving until Sunday, that should give us enough time to goof off.

Big Bob

Big Bob I made reservations yesterday. I think there will be plenty of room that time of year. I have pulled in there in the summer and did not have a problem getting a spot. But better safe then sorry.

Mike

There is NO problem getting RV space. From the BOMB site to the casino, to pendleton and a state park just 4 or 5 miles up the road.

Rob's F-I-L has lots of space for RV's to park, and if he runs out, there's a little on Rob's land, although it may be too muddy to use.

Andy, are you able to make it?

I'm not sure. Between work and school (both full time), I don't have any free time. On top of that, I bought a house and it closes escrow a few days before that weekend. It needs some fixer upper work that I would like to do before moving in, such as paint and new carpeting. I shouldn't be off in Oregon with a house full of projects.
