Thanks for the hard work getting us back online... Trust me, I know what it is like.



Just an idea here... The old forum is still up and running. Would it be possible to temporally open it back up for posting until the main site gets fixed? Just toss a link up on the front page. Let everyone know that the posts will not show up on the normal site when it is restored. Besides... It will be funny to see camo's face when his post count is reset to zero!

No one, me included, wants to tell folks how to recover from an incident like this, but you might want to read the incident recovery guidelines from CERT.

Most of the HIPPA and SOX audits we do include looking for a procedure that looks similar to this. Even little bitty web sites can be compromised and used later to launch an attack on someone else.
