Thanks for your thoughts, guys.
With the low cost of elastic computing resources, I wouldn’t think CPU time would be a problem.
I have a 2003 Ram that I’ll probably have for at least another 5 years. Having to start a new thread rather than reply to an existing thread means the information is now split up amongst two threads.
Just my thoughts, in case they are helpful.
Thank you, gentlemen.
I was thinking about your "Weekend maintenance on the '91" thread recently and had not seen any posts for a relatively short time period......this is a useful thread for reference and I for one would like to see it continue!I agree. I just went to add some repairs to my "Weekend maintenance on the '91" and it is closed.... not going to start another thread on it.
I’ve gone to update old threads multiple times and cannot, so now the old information is the only information as I’m not starting a new thread.
There should be another way to keep all parties happy and still allow thread revival. Maybe a request to un-archive button?
X2 A similar issue is not being allowed to edit old posts, like trying to go back and fix broken picture links. For replying to a closed thread I was told to contact the admin to reopen the thread. I did so with the thread I started on tire sealer and gave an update on its performance after more than a year. There are other threads on long term subjects I would reply to if the process was simpler.I’ve gone to update old threads multiple times and cannot, so now the old information is the only information as I’m not starting a new thread.
