Not receiving email notification

I noticed yesterday that I am not getting the email notification that I normally do from TDR. I checked and the email address is still in my safe senders, and not in the blocked senders.



According to my deleted email the last email notification I received from TDR was 2MAR.



Anyone else having the same issue?

hotmail is refusing the connection from our mail server. Here is a log entry from our maillog:

Mar 5 00:48:50 turbodieselregister sendmail[51694]: p255kks4051681: to=<?????@hotmail.com>, ctladdr=<webmaster@turbodieselregister.com> (1010/80), delay=00:02:04, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=122576, relay=mx1. hotmail.com. [65. 55. 37. 88], dsn=5. 0. 0, stat=Service unavailable

I replaced your email name with question marks. I'd suggest mailing that to hotmail's tech support and maybe they can resolve the problem.

I just realized I was having the same issue on Home Page of Mopar1973Man, but there were others as well. Mike changed some settings and it started working again. . so now I am down to TDR. .

So I spent a long time on the hotmail help site to no avail...



I changed the email notification to gmail and its working fine. . But I don't really want to use my gmail for forums...



Is my hotmail account the only one with issues?

Probably not, many emails get rejected. It's usually a spam blocker they are using that kicks it out. They are changing them all the time and it's a real issue when it comes to notification emails. Some ISP's are responsive to the issues and others you might as well be talking to a brick wall.

Well I got around it for a bit by having the email go to my gmail, then gmail fwd's it to my hotmail. . So it operates as usual. .



Thou with the email change my avatar is gone, and when I click on my user name, or anyone's user name, I get the following error.

Clear your cookies and then log back into the site. Sounds like the cookie on your PC got corrupted.

I tried that and still the same.



Does something on my account have to be re-activated since I changed email addresses?



Not only did my avatar disapear, but I don't have access to the avatar menu in the User CP.

Actually yeah, you should have received an email with a link to click on. If you didn't get it let me know and I can manually do it for you.

I haven't received email notifications for a few years on sbcglobal/yahoo. Just makes me check the site more often!:-laf

I tried it again and it says my account has already been activated.
