Dmg was in the area of 7k all the parts have been in for over a week and this thing isnt done and the guy isnt giving me a "due date" he says he cant say for sure... Should i be getting alittle upset here or what... I miss my truck alot and i want it back :( . . what do you guys think?

I know around me the good body shops are backed up and things take time, just because your parts came in doesn't mean you get placed on priority. Usually your work won't get scheduled until parts come in. I believe your family has a business, do you want your customers coming in and ranting that they want their stuff done right now? Patience young grasshopper:D

Your right, Im always wondering if people are tryin to push me around cuz im so young :rolleyes: ... Also, I WANT MY BABY BACK :{

If it was me, I of course would want them to do a good job an not rush them. Establish a good relationship with the shop manager an not be a a$$. It takes time to try to get things lined up and as close to specs as possible. I was satisfied with the way the paint matched on my wife's 99 Jimmy an the parts replacement was a rate of fair to ok in my standards. Hopefully your bodyshop will warranty the parts an paint they did for as long as you own the truck. In our case it was only for one year (bummer):eek:

Me and the guy are really cool with each other. . He knows im a good kid, my dad is the one saying... call about your truck and i keep saying i dont want to rush him... . tomorrow im gonna stop there to show him my fender flares... Im gonna ask him about the paint... that really concerns me. . It BETTER match 100% and it better not ever rust or whatever...

My old truck went to the body shop twice, once for new paint and once because someone hit it while it was parked, and my sister has had 3 wrecks. Out of the 5 times none of the 3 different body shops got the vehicle done on time. I just know to double the time they say now.

I checked on my truck every day or two while they were doing body work to make sure they were doing it right. Some will just fill a dent full of bondo instead of pulling it out as much as possible and it will eventually crack.
