I was wondering if any one has used Mystik brand oil in your CTD?

They have a heavy duty, a synthetic blend and a full synthetic. All CI4+. I was unable to find any specks on its content, and I am curious if its a good oil. Here C-A-L Ranch stores and TSC in the rest of the country carries it. Plus its carried by some oil distributers. Its avalible in 2gal bottles and 5 gallon cans.

I know a couple of farmers that run it. I used to run it his allison aircraft engine tractor puller. (no longer pulls. ) That's all I know of it.

This was discussed another time, I believe. I've run it in my boat engines, older 855 Cummins, for years and years, it seems to do fine. Some folks don't like it as it's a Citgo product. If I could still get Valvoline easily I'd run it. I use syn Shell in the truck.

Mills Fleet Farm also carries Mystik and so does Home of Economy stores, Home of Economy store might just be local owned as I have not heard of them any where else.

Mystik oils are more prevelent in the agriculture areas. Good oil.

Yes they are a part of Citgo which is wholly owned by the Venezuelan gov. That's Hugo Chavez's party, communist and very anti-American. I don't buy Citgo products.

Thanks for your responses, Through the research I done I knew that it was a Citgo product, but I was interested on how much use it was getting, and knew that it was sold through Agri stores, for the farming community.

The other reason was that it is a CI4+ oil. I would like to find the specs on its lubrication contents.

I have been running it for years with good results in tractors, have got over 10 thousand hours on some. I may not use it any more, didnt realize it was a citgo product.

Ran it for 20 years until we quit farming. Change it on time and never look back.

Got well over 200K out of gas engines running the old stuff, diesels were 8500-9K hours between rebuilds and our diesel trucks ran 250-300K before needing anything done, and that was usually due to the rings going bad from dirt since we lived in poof dirt country 6 months a year.
