If there was a recall the dealer would have known about it before they charged you. Post the last 8 of your VIN and we can confirm if the truck was involved.
 
Apparently that recall only applies to CA trucks - but why would it not apply to all Cummins engines with the same NOX sensor?

My last 8 of the VIN - EG226383

Dose anyone know if the obd has to be reset after you replace the NOX Sensor. I replaced mine and the Check engine code keeps coming back on. I
was told that I may have to take it to the dealership to have it relearned.

Did you replace with a factory sensor or aftermarket?
 
Why did you replace the sensor? Just because it was setting a sensor related code, or did you actually diagnose it as being a bad sensor?
 
I have had the code come and go for at least a year, then just last month it came back an did not go away. I had cleared the code and it came back on two days later.

Thanks to you , it was not the nox sensor ,but CCV filter needing replaced , changed it out ,all has been good for the past year ,and half . thanks again .
