Working on a 1997 Dodge 12 valve. After pulling the front driveline on the NP241 transfer case, there is a large NUT, 1 1/8", on the transfer case output shaft. The shop manual says not to re-use this nut once removed? Anyone have a part number for this nut? And why can't I re-use it? Thanks.

That is not unusual if it is a nylock type nut, they always tell you that. I would reuse it and not look back.

IIRC it's not a nylock nut, it's one of those crimped/slightly deformed nuts that basically acts the same as a nylock. Loctite it on reinstall and roll on. I've reused them before with zero issues.
