Help: Need cargo brought from IN to CO

Anyone going to the Jet Cars?

At the Sarpy Cty fair I spoke with NPPA quite a while. It sounds like they are willing to work with us heavy diesel trucks and get some more rigs into local pulling around Nebraska. There are several safety regs (a good thing in my book) to conform to -- in my case I need to add a kill switch and I already have all the DHRA street class safety gear on the truck.

SO. . if you want to pull with NPPA look up their rules and let's get this going. Next year is probably a good target for most of us ... myself included since I can't get the kill switch I want right away.

Stay in touch here I'll be talking to them several times for sure over the next few weeks. It would be great if we could get several more "Smokers" running in NPPA. Invite your dmax and stroker friends too; competition is a good thing!

There was a little talk about trying to add a more street diesel class if we could get enough guys to do it. This wouldn't require quite as much safty stuff as the smoker class and have a heavier weight class.

I would like to see it have rules similar to the rules around the country so we could go other places to pull.

Just my . 02 (we have been having a big NPPA discussion on the diesel garage.com)

Here are their rules copied from www.nepowerpullers.com

Their weight classes are "light" right now that is what Mark was refering to.

Refer to website for any questions.

I just realized the 144 inch wheel base... doesn't a quad cab measure close to 160? I'll have to check on that. Nevertheless; I think they're going to take a close look at the rules so more trucks can run.

I would think that the wheelbase issue could be resolved, if it is an issue. There is a 2nd gen ext cab dually that pulls with them normally. The wheel base between yours and that one should be similar, you might be a little longer.

I like the rule used at other pulls that makes a factory unchanged frame must be used.

I hope you are right about some rule changes.

I wonder if Bryan will chime in on this?
