Attended a NRA dinner in Ca last night. Bought a sponser pkg / $600 for two. Included tickets for (4) sponsor arms and some general raffle tickets.

First sponsor drawing was for a Kimber 1911 . 45. No one claimed the ticket! They held the gun through dinner, live auction etc. They called the winning ticket again. NO ONE claimed it! Did they draw for another ticket? Hell NO. They told us one draw, one gun!!

I basically paid $600 for a chance to win (3) arms/ advertised (4) and bought an additional $400 in general raffle tickets. What did I win? I came home with a plastic statue that had NRA stamped on it.

I totally support the NRA and donate when we can but this burns my ***!

I do feel bad for the poor sap who actually had the winning #. What a dummy!

I no longer support the NRA. IMO, they have become too pollitically correct.

I'm now looking for a better gun owners ***.

Every fund raiser dinner, NRA, Ducks Unlimited etc would always draw another ticket if no one claimed the first drawn ticket.

I paid extra to have a chance at the sponsor guns!

Called head of chapter and claims, "One draw", "One gun".

Guess I'll never sponsor another Friends of the NRA fund raiser.

As a member, it seems pretty stupid to not be more cordial to the people who are paying your bread and butter. Penny wise and pound foolish.
