Ok I was doing some searching about Plates and came across Piers comparison chart, if I am reading this correct a #5 plate is the most aggressive and the #6 that I run is also very egressive? If this is the case why does majority of you Guys (Gals) run the #10 is there an issue with the EGTs or what. I have learned a ton from this site but I haven't come across this anywhere.

A side note if your truck seems to have lost some Boost check the line going to the gauge it may have a ware spot in it :-laf The good news is I know that everything else is up to snuff now :)

a number 10 is the most comon plate because of its ability to make power and control egt's, paired with a gov spring kit its is awsome!! the 5 and 6 plate fuel hard but egt's raise the same. plates go as extreme as a 0 or some people run with no plate (not your best bet). talk to your vendor about your use and see whats best for you. a 5 plate is a good plate i had the same plate in mine for a while and loved it, match your hp to your needs not your wants, thats the best advice i can give.

Most people also run the #10 plate in 215 horse power pumps. I think yours is a 160 and mine is a 175. We can use more agressive plates because of less agressive modifications inside the pump such as pluger size.

Thanks

I am just trying to understand the whole thing a little better, My truck has all the power I need but I did think until now that a #10 was more fuel. I learn more every day on this site.

Thanks again
