Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) NV 4500 trouble

Yesterday with no previous trouble I was not able to get into third gear. All other gears seem fine. If I double clutch it and rev the engine I can get it into third however the shifter wobbles and vibrates bad during the third gear acceleration event. I am guessing syncros. Anyone know the cost to make this repair and is there any danger in continuing to drive the truck. I have 200k on the truck and I am the original owner. Always used the factor recommended fluid and have changed it at 65k and about 165k. Thanks for any ideas!
