Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) nv 5600 conversion

when i took the auto flexplate off there was a spacer shim between it and the crank i was wondering when i bolt the flywheel on do i use the shim or is it olny for the auto

There were no shims on my '98 NV4500 when I converted to the NV5600. My cousin's '97 that went from 5 to 6 speed also had no shim. Other then that I couldn't tell you.
