NV 5600 issue,,, Bummer deal

On our last towing trip I noticed a SLIGHT bit of trans noise that I had not heard before. Today I drained the transmission, I have dual coolers on the PTO covers and a filter on the left side. In that filter I hung a high power magnet. When I removed the cover for the magnet it looked kind of like a porcupine, all bristly with metal filings. Not any of them large just very fine stuff. I am going to pull the trans and send it away to be rebuilt. Is Standard in Texas still the place to have a top notch job done?

If I was near the Texas shops I would use Blumenthals, I had Richard from Standardtrans in Tucson go through my G56 and was told that there was a major falling out with some of the techs in Texas. So if it was my NV5600, I would use Blumenthals.

Richard Poels runs the shop in Tucson and he was in charge of the rebuild of my NV5600, fine work. I haven't talked with the Fort Worth people in a few years so cannot comment on them.

In addition, Blumenthal stated to me that they manufactured NV5600 trans parts in house.
