Any references for suppliers of PTO/temp sender covers ?

I'm looking for a replacement PTO cover to allow install of a temp sender. I don't want to spend the money for a set of fast coolers yet, since I don't haul heavy loads and probably don't need the cooling. Also, the local dealer is using the fast coolers as an excuse not to deal with any gear clash issues. I'm still under warranty and have a bit of gear clash, so will wait until just before warranty expires to make the decision whether to have him install a new countershaft assembly or not.

Why not just braze a fitting on a stock drilled cover for the probe? Some how I seem to remember Geno's selling a cover that was ready to go. Maybe give them a call and see if they can help you.

Stick it in the fill hole, it doesnt have to be 100% accurate just tell you if temps are abnormally high and the splashing oil will be very close to the same temp as if the probe was submerged.

Fast Coolers Verlyn Fast's FastCoolers come with one pre-drilled and tapped for 1/4" NPT temp probe.

You can get one, two or even 3 coolers. Two for the transmission, and if you have a 4x4, with the 241HD xfer case, it also has a PTO cover that the FastCoolers fit very nicely :)

Here's a picture of my SPA transmission temp sender.

I drilled and tapped the stock PTO cover to fit 1/8 NPT and ordered heat sensor from Westach was simple and cheap. I have since installed Fastcoolers. If you want my old tapped cover with the sensor contact me and i"ll send it to you. You might want to check on compatibility of Westach sensor with other brand gauges.
