NV273 Input / Output Bearings Spun in the Case

A question for TDR members.

I noted my T-case front output shaft has radial play and my front driveshaft had some vibration. I took apart the t-case and found both front and rear output bearings had spun in the case. I could grab the outer bearing race and spin by hand. About 3-5 thou clearance with the front and 1.5 thou on the rear.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The both cases are mirror polished where the bearing race spun in the case...

The housing can be staked, then some red loctite to hold it. Common practice. But as fas as the transfer case haven't herd of this yet. But not out of the relm of possible issues.

A free-spin kit could have prevented, or at least postponed that problem.
