Just a wondering if any of you have had any internal nv4500 gear troubles. I hear that the trans will handle up to 1050ft lbs of torque. I have broken third gear now on the cluster and on the main now several times. I have also broken the improved 1 3/8" imput shaft once as well . I have been pulling for two seasons and with every engine up grade the trans internals fall out sooner. Plus a $2000. 00 twin disc clutch once a year . (pulling wear and trear) "at least I can r/r the trans and clutch on the floor in 4 hours now with all my practice
" I have done some homework some say the nv5600 is not as strong for truckpulling and will fail sooner it does not have as high a torque rating. (also more expensive to repair) I have heard a rumor of a fella in Utah or nevada that is making hardened extreme duty gears for the nv4500? Has any one used them yet? Or know how to get a hold of this fella?
Lasty I was wondering which is better for the heavy duty pulling Automatic (built to the hill suncoast) or a Nv4500 or nv5600 ?
Thanks to all
