Does anybody else get a howl/warble around 1500-1600 rpm with their 5 speed? Just curious what it is. I've noticed it ever since putting in an aftermarket clutch a few years back. Recently, after having a body lift installed, it is much louder. Not really to worried about it and I know the body lift didn't hurt anything other than it changed the amplification of the noise being transferred into the cab.

Also, since new, second gear is very difficult to engage when the temps are below freezing and the transmission is cold for the first few shifts. Switching to RP gear lube made this a little worse, yet made the other gears smoother. Everything is fine when it is up to temp.

Just looking for some input.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,

The clutch that you have has a tighter center then the oem disk. It can create a harmonic sound in neutral. It really is nothing to worry about. If you have any questions feel free to call me and I will answer them for you.
