Nv4500 Into Automatic Truck

O. K. HERE IS WHAT I'M THINKING... MY JEEP HAS A NV4500 WHICH WOULD BE MUCH HAPPIER IN MY TRUCK... AND THE JEEP COULD BENEFIT FROM THE AUTO FOR ROCK CRAWLING. ANY WAY... IF I CAN FIND A FIRST GEN 5-SPEED WIRING HARNESS AND COMPUTER, I COULD SEND MY COMPUTER WITH THE TRANS INTO THE JEEP.

ALSO, HAS ANYONE CHANGED AN AUTO TO A 5-SPEED?

I GUESS I'D NEED THE PEDAL SETUP AND MASTER CYL.

IF ANYONE HAS A FIRST GEN 5-SPEED TO BE A DONOR LET ME KNOW. ANY IDEAS APPRECIATED.

Seane, I would hazard to guess the 4500 in your jeep is for a gas pot and may not be suitable for use in your powerfull diesel. jm2cw. bill

THE JEEP HAS A 4BT DIESEL, WITH A HDNV4500... EVERY THING SHOULD BOLT RIGHT UP FROM ONE VEHICLE TO THE OTHER. THE JEEP HAS ALL DIESEL DODGE TRUCK PARTS.

aah clear as mud now should work fine and if jeep has hydraulic clutch you may even be able to use the set up for you dodge. bill

I have a 97 model NV4500 4X4 trans that belongs to a friend. It has 70k miles on it. I do not know if it has had the 5th gear nut fix done. I bought it out of a wrecked truck 3 years ago.



He told me tonight to sell it. Hit me with a pm if your interested. We can work something out
