Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) NV4500 oil

Nobody around here carries the factory castrol stuff anymore, including the dealer. I can't find a different brand oil that is GL-4 either. Where can I get some proper oil for this transmission? Thanks

Even though you already got some, Amsoil also has the 75W90 GL4 oil specifically for the NV4500. Here is the info for anyone else looking for it, and its about half the price of the Mopar/Castrol fluid -

The seals on my gear box are leaking. When I changed the fluid last summer I couldn't find the right oil around town and used a 75-90W Castrol syn from AutoZone.

Use the right fluid not saying the Amsoil won't work. I use it in the rear end with no problem. Live and learn.
