nv4500 question

you guys that have put in the nv4500 what bell housing did you use I am going to use a 92 eng and 96 nv4500



and checking to make sure I have the right trans how many splines is there on the cummins or any other way to make sure I did not get a gas trans thanks George

I just had my NVG4500HD conversion done by Quad 4X4 (406-446-2427) in Roberts, MT. a month ago. Dan Guarino is the owner of Quad 4X4 and has been doing this conversion for over 4 years.



Dan machines his own bellhousing and makes the majority of his own parts for a robust installation. There's more parts required than just the bellhousing, you also need a crossmember adapter & transfer case linkage (if 4X4). He sells a kit with everything you need for $650. 00 and a detailed video explaining the conversion.

I got mine from Blue Chip Diesel. The only problem was the hole that the tool goes in to turn the motor over when setting the valves was not finished properly. I would hve been no big deal if I had found the problem before the motor was in. Be sure on check that before you install the motor. You need to cut the input shaft off 3/8" so the clutch will not hit it.
