Nv4500 Question

I was wondering if the nv4500 has a mechanicaly or hydraulic actuated clutch throw outbearing or clutch fork. and what kind of price can i expect to pay for a good unit, and where can i find one. This is going into a 95 suburban with a second gen 12v infront of it. thanks in advance for your help, I'm glad there is such a wealth of info on this page.

Throwout bearing is mechanical. Fork is activated by a hydraulic cylinder.

They also have a lot of updated parts to make them reliable.

Standard Transmission has rebuilt NV4500s with their mainshaft kit for about $1600 + $500 core charge. I did the rebuild myself with their parts, and have had no problem with my NV4500 (the nut hadn't even come off my original one, but it would have done so eventually; I built another with STd Trans parts and plugged it in).

Great do you have a number or web address for standard transmission. can the 6 speed be used with a 12v? or is the 4500 the only standard transmission for the 12v. thanks in advance.

Enterprise has swapped several 6 speeds into the 12 valves, including their own tow rig.

Not a bad swap.
