NV4500 shifter

Is anyone using this shifter in the 1st Gen nv4500 conversions?

Installed that very kit iin my 98 12V about 6 months ago and have been very pleased with it.

Have had no issues at all and my wife likes it as well.



I would recommend one.

Nv4500

I installed a NV4500 in my '68 GMC Suburban and have the stock "shifter" in it. Does this short handled shifter move harder through the gears without the added leverage of the longer stock handle?

I would welcome the interior room with the shorter handle.

It looks like you use your original stick. The short shift refers to the throw between the gears.

I thought it was the "shifter handle" as well. What this does is just shorten the throw between gears? Is that right?

As far as I know, yes. WHy it is so popular, I am not sure. If it widened the gapes bewteen the rows, I might see it.

I have a 1996 NV4500. . I see this does 98-up . . Is there a difference between 96 and 98 NV4500s?
