My G360 is making a rough bearing noise in N and the shifter rattles in 5th.

Had a guy I know this weekend offer me a deal I am trying to decide on. He recently pulled the NV4500 from his 99 4x4 to put an NV5600 in. He has his turned up quite a bit and pulls a 32' goose with two 6K lb offroad rigs on it all over the country. The 4500 started poping out of 5th while towing. Anyway it was still under warranty and he sent it back in for another rebuild but bought the 5600 at the same time.

So it would be the rebuilt NV4500, bellhousing, flywheel, and LUK gold cluch he was running with it. Said he would take $1500 for it. He said the trans had the upgraded main shaft but I would like to get the name of the outfit rebuilding it and call them to see what they say. It was a place in Denver but I can't recall what it was.

So from what I have read I will still need a MC, starter, and a few other small parts to make it work. Do I need an adapter plate as well?

So the question is do I rebuild my G360 or go for this deal. If anybody has a good NV swap thread bookmarked LMK.

I would find out which 5th gear fix it has had, some of them don't work all that well. The extended spline has even been know to back the nut off. Call Dan @ Quad4X4, he can give you the particulars about the 5th gear nut.
