nv4500shift covers

ihave a nv4500 mated to a 205 that will be coming out of my chev to put in the dodge nv4500 and 205 when i put in the diesel. my question regards shift covers. the chev has a 2piece and the dodge has 1 piece. i was wondering which is better and why? are they interchange able? seems to me i saw a post saying the 2 piece was better shifting??maybe?i don't see why they can't interchange, but it has been a while since i have had the chev apart.

I ran a NV4500 behind the 6. 2 in my M1008 with the old style cover. The Dodge NV4500 behind my Cummins has the newer style and it does shift better. The later style NV4500s also have updated blocking rings to improve shifting. I think the covers will interchange.
