I'm just finishing up installing my CON-OFE, and putting the trans back up I noticed one of the bolts is shorter than the other 7. Unfortunately, I didn't notice which hole it came out of when removing the trans. Anyone know where I should put it back in? The factory manual doesn't mention anything. Oh, while I'm at it, what is the torque for the trans to engine bolts? The FSM doesn't seem to mention that either. At least not that I found.

I don't remember there being one shorter then the rest. One thing to watch out for is to not mix them up with the bolts for the skid pan, bellhousing bolts are 3/8" and the the skid pan are 10mm. The look the same but the threads are just enough different to cause you problems.

I just R&R'd My transmission not too long ago as I recall all the bellhousing bolts were the same. Just make sure you didn't mix them up with some other bolts.

thanks guys. . it was my wife's fault. . really! :p

She tends to clean up after me while I'm under the truck cursing like a sailor. She put the bolts in a zip lock to keep them from getting lost. After looking thru all the ziplocks, indeed all transmission bolts are the same length. The short one belonged somewhere else. . can't remember now. But, the truck is back on the road now, and the wife is happy to have her garage back :)
