I've noticed for the second time today that my clutch is slipping. . It has 50k on the OEM clutch. . As of now I'm going with a southbend clutch. . I'm gonna contact them tommorrow and find out what they suggest. . From what I've been told the bast choice for me is there 450HP set-up. . I'm not a super power hungry guy, I just want it to work. . I'm gonna do some surfing on past post and see what info I can find. . If anyone has advise about the removal and install im wide open. . If there are other proven manufactures I should consider please let me know. . And lastly if there's any bored Anchorage boys out there that have experience with this and are interested in supervising the operation please let me know. . I'm gonna do the job on either Elmendorf or Fort-Richardson. . Which ever has the better transmission jack. .

Thanks

Josh

Your clutch disk might be glazed and just needs a good amount of heat to it. I know I could slip mine at ease in 5th with 35s and the TST on 70hp, but after a sledpull I did it won't slip anymore. I also have 64k on mine and even though it doesn't slip I feel the pressure plate is getting weak the way it grabs letting the clutch out. I'll be going to a ofe when I have the money.

I slipped mine once trying to do a burnout.

I had 2,500 RPM clutch fully released and no movement or tire spin. My clutch smelled for 3 days after that.

I run Smarty level 5 all the time towing and empty and it has not slipped since.

I have 68K on it now.

I also plan on an OFE but not until it needs it.
