I was curious if anyone has any ideas on cooling the six speed, I have heard that over filling them a 1 liter is a good start. Any Idea's?

Thanks Bret.

Installed a pair of Fast Coolers on mine. Didn't do a lot but maybe 10-20 degrees. Pull heavy loads and it will still go well over 200 on a hot day. Wondered about the pump and cooler like the Nascar boys use but don't know who makes them. I think they could be switched on as needed or could be done automatically. Wonder if anyone has done this?

I haven't gotten around to doing my Y2K yet, but on my 89 I drained the transmission and put in Mobil-1. That was about 14 years and over 270K miles and have had no problems with it. I'm thinking about draining the Y2K and filling it with Royal Purple which is supposed to be equal to and or better than Mobil-1. Synthetic is bound to run a lot cooler and lube better due to it much greater shear strength.

JMTCW :p
