Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) NV5600 input shaft upgraded clutch size

I have a 1999 3500 that the nv5600 went out on .I have another one that has the 1 3/8 inch input shaft.. Can I put this in my 99 if I just go with the 2001 clutch kit (13 inch
clutch and put the 13 inch flywheel for the 2001 ) my 99 has the 12 1/4 flywheel and clutch kit..

You can upgrade the input shaft but you'll just have to be sure when you get a clutch to let them know its the larger shaft. And most quality aftermarket clutches will come with the 13" flywheel no matter if its for the 4500 or 5600.

Thanks for the reply, I bought a transmission and it has the 1 3/8 shaft I just didn't know if I bought a flywheel and clutch-pac for a 2001 if that would work on my 1999

Where do you plan on getting a flywheel and clutch? Because any known clutch company like Southbend or Valair will know what you need. If you're planning on getting something from NAPA or another parts store then you better be sure you're getting the correct one.
