NV5600 into a 06

I am getting a brand new complete NV5600 I want to swap it out in place of the G56 in my 2006 3500 mainley for the final drive ratio being at . 73 as compared to the . 79 of the G56.

What all has to be swapped? Is the clutch the same ect do I need to use the dual mass flywheel or can I use the older standard clutch and flywheel???

You're going to need the clutch for the NV5600.



Order a complete setup from SBC, Haisley, or Enterprise. The dual disks already come with the requisite flywheel, so there's no extra expense. If you plan on leaving your truck somewhat stock, then you can get something like a SBC OFE, but you'll pay extra for the flywheel.

Is the Nv5600 and G56 the same length? If not, then the drive shaft(s) may be different sizes. I also wonder if the ECM programming would be any different. I can't imagine why it would be, but that wouldn't stop an engineer from changing something.
