nv5600 ratios

has anybody tried to change the final ratio of the 5600 to equal the auto,or to get the same ratio as with 3:42 gears. the auto seems to have a higher ratio than the 5600 and there is where a small diff. in milage occurs.

Nope... the NV5600 has a OD of . 73, the auto is . 69... . If you put a GV OD on you can have a . 577 OD...

The NV5600 never came with 3. 42's, and typically gets better mileage than the auto. . . The small gain you may get from a few lower RPM's is negated by the operation of the tq converter.
