Rip Rook's exhaust install....done..

i am getting ready to instal my knew SB clutch and i was considering putting in the BD short throw shifter as well. To all of the people who have this i am wondering if they think that its worth the money. The way it is now does not bother me but i have read peoples post and they seem to like it. i just want to know id it worth the 200 you pay for it.

thanks

I put mine in about a month ago. I love it and thought it was worth the $200. It makes the truck a lot more fun to drive.

did the kit shorten the stick or is the stick the same height. most of the shifter that i have seen for the cars just shorten the actual stick.

B D Shifter Kit

It is the same length. The shift pattern is quite smaller and is moved down and to the left. I have the Genos cup holder. Very close fit. Works great, worth the price. Easy add on.

Works as advertised. Is it worth it? I thought so, fits in with the tight steering on the 03s. I think some folks might be underwhelmed but I like it.

I'd like to know if the NV5600 and NV4500 shifter arms attach to the transmission the same way? Anybody know? Cause if they do I'd like to buy your OEM off of you Trey.

Mark,, I saw your post wasn't being answred,, don't know if you know now or not, but, I was told the NV4500 and NV5600 shifter's do not interchange.

When I bought my re-man NV5600 and swap "Kit" it came with a new shifter. I figured if a company could get around a new shifter they would, but since I got a new shifter with thte transmission, I'm guessing there's not really a way to get around it.

Hope This Helps

It uses the same stick. It shortens the amount of throw by about 30% (feels like more though)

Somebody said it moves the shifter closer to the wheel, but I didn't see that change at all. (I took measurements before and after)
