nv5600 shifter threads??

Anyone know how the shifter knob is held on on the nv5600? Wondering if it is on splines or threaded on and how to remove it?? Young dog left in the truck decided it was at the right level for a chew toy!!!! Dog is lucky I like him Have a eaton/fuller knob and was wondering what I will find on the shaft. Thanks for the help Truck is the 2004. 5 nv5600

It's threaded on, just carefully pry the shift pattern cap off and the rest is obvious.

The threads are 10mm x 1/5 tpi.
