I have a nv5600 sitting here and it has some type of electrical connection near the back of the transmission. What is this for?? Speed sensor??

i don't believe the lamp out circuit moniters the reverse lights as i have no reverse light bulbs connected to the factory wiring and i get no lamp out light on the dash [i have one coil side of a relay in the factory circuit, but i installed that after trying to see if the lamp out detected the removed reverse light bulbs]

i removed the back up lamps to check, the lamp out light never triggered

i had the lamp out light coming and going with all the lights working, replaced the tail and stop lamps and the contacts on the bulbs were worn, enough to cause the lamp out to illuminate, also try to tighten the contacts to make the bulb fit tighter
