I believe there is a simple little valve on the top that will open and force out any extra as it gets to moving about the transmission. I have mine torn to pieces but I'll look a little later. I do know for sure that it IS vented though. I put in 12 qts this summer and made a giant mess all over the underside of truck and the trailer I was pulling!

I have the Fast Coolers and 8qts in mine and it has not vented a drop.

Just wanted to let you all know that this combination works. I am using the Redline MTL and love the way it shifts so far. I only have about 3K on this drain and refill so I will see how it performs after some 10's of thousands of miles.

The vent is located on the top of ther transmission case I access mine from the right or passenger side you can see it and reach up and lift the vent cap which should lift up a quater inch or so it is pressure actuated and lifts/opens if pressure in transmission exceeds weight of cap. When pressure is released gravity closes valve.

I never did locate the vent. It wasn't visible through the shifter hole in the floor, but I did find the source of my leak. All 4 bolts on the tower were very loose!
