NW Bombers get together Pendleton

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Calling all Southern Alberta BOMBers....

Calling all ALBERTANS for convoy to Nevada in May!!!!

Rob and I are working on a get together up at his new property outside of Pendleton OR. The place is my dads house which is only about 1/4 mile from his property. We would like to see alot of members there if possible.

Date: March 9 2002 Saturday

Place: Poverty Flats road about 15 miles east of Pendleton toward LaGrande.

Time: All day.

Details to be added as time gets closer but there is room to camp, coverd shop to work, lots of land to ride ATV's or hike.

I am hoping that this will bring in new people that usually cannot make the drive to Seattle or Portland. If anyone has ideas of things for the rest of the family to do dish it out. Nothing like Kids and Wives to enjoy on a trip.

Hope to see you there!:D

Bumping this up... I'd like to point out that even if you've never been part of TDR or NW BOMBERS before, just email or call one of us, and come on up.

It's relatively primitive camping there, but just down the road about 2 sneezes and a short coughing spell is Emigrant Springs state park, which has a great campground with all the services you want.

No obligations of any kind, but we'd love to meet ya.

great

Count me in and please keep me informed - will we be able to get any expert help on installing say injectors, gauges etc??????

hammersly,

The infamous Rob Hanson will be there with quite a bit of knowledge. Well maybe not infamous maybe just Rob. Anyway there will be people there with all sorts of knowledge for work. I am familiar with installing exausts. Rob is good with injectors. but we do Mine first. :D I would imagine any work at all will have some sort of expertise there.

As I have already told Rob, I'll be there.

However, I may take the long way there...

..... ya just never know. :D

Ok - what to do....

Ok - without any mods yet to my transmission, and with just a VA box, can I add any injectors, like at this event? If so will they be available there or do I need to get some?

First of all, if you add bigger injectors than OE (and retain your VA CPC) you WILL toast your TCC!

That said, if you still want to go with bigger injectors (and want to install them at this event), you will need to purchase them prior to this event (i. e. , BYOI... or Bring Your Own Injectors). Additionally, you (or anyone else for that matter) will need to bring anything else that may be required to complete the installation... for instance: a set of 6 injector fuel supply tubes IF you have an early '98. 5 24v (with a lower engine serial number than what is stated in the TSB), qty. 2 intake manifold runner gaskets (just in case), etc. As we normally have these events at Rob's (and are "taking the show on the road" so to speak), we cannot possibly remember to take everything we normally have available at our disposal.

BOTTOM LINE hammersley, you should give very strong consideration to upgrading your automatic transmission!

If the wife and I get back from the coast in time, I (or maybe we) will plan on attending. Would like to meet the Washington and Oregon people that I keep seeing posts from on the TDR Website. How deep is the snow at your place up on Cabbage Hill?

At the present time Rob informed me that there is currently no snow at the BOMB site however, there is a foot or so in other nearby locales.

Will definetly put it on the calender. Still not certain if we can make it but if we do we will camp at the Casino east of Pendelton. $$$$$$:D

BW, looks like I'll get to finally meet you. . . even though we probably live within 10 miles of each other we'll be meeting 80 miles away from home ;)

I'll see if I can get Dave Ratcliffe (in Pasco) to come along too.
