Testing The Afterburners At The Strip Sunday

Houston TDR- January get-together

I haven't heard of anyone getting together this month, so either no one told me, or everyone is wore out from BD Days. At any rate, I have some new injectors to install, and I could use some (im)moral support and assistance. I can't promise turkey leftovers, but there's more good beer in the garage than anyone could drink in a weekend.

So, anyone who wants to come out to North Bend Saturday (11/25) and help, or just stand around and BS is welcome. And, if you've done an injector swap before, I'd sure love to know what "special" tools I need to buy/beg/borrow to finish the job.

I also have a 4-1/2 inch hole saw, but the Psychotty isn't here, yet. So, if anyone else wanted to use it, feel free.

Anyways, if anyone wants to come out, lemme know, and I'll send you directions.

Jon... What time are you going to do the injectors? I have one previous commitment, but would enjoy meeting you and helping.

Not many special tools needed... a crows foot 19mm is handy for torque-ing the fuel lines, and injector tube puller is handy, but not necessary.

Other sockets and wrenches:
15mm for valve cover removal
10mm for intake horn removal
11mm for turbo hose clamp at intake
8mm for loosening the high pressure fuel lines
torque wrench for ft lbs and in lbs.

Go to www.DieselDynamics.com, and download their instructions.

The other alternative is to wait til 12/2/00 and do them at my house!

Since I don't even know what a crow's foot is, I guess I'd better wait until next weekend to do the injectors. Hopefully by then, my EZ box will have showed up, and I can do it all at once.

The exhaust and Ebrake are next on the list, so it'd be cool to see how easy all of that is. So, count me in for the December 2nd meeting.

I'll be puttering around Saturday, anyways. I have a bunch of other stuff to do, like mounting some HF/VHF radios, getting the GPS installed, moving the **** TDLS button to where I can reach it easier, etc. Probably ought to wash the **** thing, too, while I'm outside.

So, if you're tired of turkey, stop by for a beer and a chat.

Oops! Sorry I didn't see your post earlier for help on Saturday. I didn't do a whole lot yesterday and could of gone out and helped you install them. Oh well, next Saturday will be here before you know it. #ad
