South Texas Get Together

Front Range CO club?

My Denver Off-Road bumper is supposed to get delivered tomorrow. Anyone want to come out to North Bend this weekend and help me bolt it on? I can't promise a fried turkey, nor the spread Rob usually puts out, but there's plenty of beer (and root beer) on draft in the garage. And it's a pleasant drive into the country for the city mice, give y'all a chance to see the trees.

Hmmm, this weekend looks kinda tough, but I might be able to swing something. Let me consult my wife about weekend plans, and I'll let you know.

BTW, what are doing with your stock bumper? Is it in good shape (no dents, etc. ) I might be interested in it if it is not spoken for... .....

Hey Jon, I will more than likely be working this weekend (third shift) however, I may be able to help... if we time the installation correctly maybe we could enlist Rob's help.

PS: I have a "million" trees of my own on our 10 acres. #ad

..... love the country life

Jon,

Would like to help, but still in Hartford, Connecticut and a bit far to travel. If for some reason you have to post-pone, I'll be watching to see if the new date will work.

I'm thinking Saturday around noon -- that'll give me time to clear out a pile of crap in the garage, and get ready. I can't imagine it'll take more than an hour to get them swapped out, but you know how those things go.

I'm emailing y'all directions, if you can make it, great -- if not, we'll see you for the BD trip.

Anyone else who wants to drop by, email me for directions. I'll try to remember to shoot lots of pics as we put it on, and post them next week.

I hadn't thought much about it -- guess I better use a wrench to remove it, instead of the SawZall, huh? If you make it out here, we can chat about it, otherwise drop me an email, we can work something out.

Man, was that work or what???? #ad
Just like the phone company... five guys to perform a two man job... works for me. #ad

Nice bumper Jon... that Ram of yours is starting to look like a real battle cruiser. Now you need the corresponding rear bumper to match the front one.

As always, we all had fun with a lot of BSing mixed in with the "strenuous" work. #ad

Sorry Rob I don't think any were taken. I saw a canera sitting on Jon's work bench although, no pics were snapped (that I know of)... I guess we were too busy working. #ad

Yeah, I kinda forgot to snap pictures as we worked. I got some shots Saturday morning, after the stock bumper was pulled off, but didn't get any shots of us mounting the new one. I've shot some pics of the new bumper, but they're a bit dark -- it got rainy and gloomy up here, later in the day.

Thanks to all the guys who drove out -- we made short work of getting it mounted up, and had plenty of time to chat and BS. This'll make the daily commute downtown a little more interesting. #ad
