O/D & Tow Haul - what's the difference?

I always thought Tow/Haul was just another name for Overdrive.



Since the 2006 has it where you can select both... what's the difference?

99% sure tow/haul moves the shiftpoints up while O/D lockout does just that.

He's saying he's almost positive that the tow/haul mode moves the shiftpoints of the transmission to make towing easier, and he's saying that turning off the overdrive just takes away the 4th gear.



That make more sense?

Jon - other readers should note you have an '06 - tow/haul

does what Dmurdock describes -

- he has an '05 - does the same (changes shift points)

except OD can't be locked out.

Nice feature/s (+ EB OK) for 48RE on the '06.
