O.K PE 4200 and -8An Fuel lines are in But .....

Thanks, TDR Staff

price d/f b/t delvac1 and amsoil

ordered some LarryB solenoid contacts...

Well the Pusher is out!

Thank god 'cause A: Pusher died and I idled to the shop with 3 lbs PSI and B: when I took off 2 of 3 bolts the top and the last stud simply broke off and the vanes and all fell clean out of the pump housing due to corrosion.

All the -8An goodies from the 4200 up to the fuel filter are in and -6An from there to the VP44 (With pressure adapters inbetween for the Blue Chip sender and the Autometer).

But anyways I have the -8An slipped over the only stock fuel line section left on the truck. Which is the 2 foot section that leads up and into the tank.

Now What are you guys doing for the Pickup up out of the tank and making the whole thing -8an friendly? any Pics out there? I was thinking a 45¢ª -8An compression adapter thru where the existing line comes out of the tank and modify the stock Pickup to accomodate the newly found -8 fitting.

All You Need Is

I've been using a piece of copper tube and a bulkhead fitting now for a couple years. No problem.

Uh Oh!

PE prefers you NOT use a pick up screen. "My pumps will pump trash!" That's a quote fellas. He feels they are restrictive. I don't use a pick up screen on my truck either:)

About hogging out the cap, not sure exactly what you mean. I used a hole saw to make the hole for my install.

My bad on the slang~Ebonic teminology (Hogging) = Enlargen a hole to "Aquired" specifications

Well that makes such perfect sense as the bulkhead would obviously do the job of sealing and making an obvious connection point. Sorry Nowel I shoulda made that [no punn] Connection when I read your post.

As for the system so far I love it I pulled the pressures down to 12 WOT @ 63% overfuel and it recovered wicked quick! Any news on Scott W's (BigSaint) Pump failure?

Torque this... use a Weber fitting like this one...

#ad

Summit racing part # AER-FCM2116, size is -6 AN male flare to 12 mm x 1. 5.

TMTT, no news, doubt they received the 4100 yet, just went out to them the other day UPS ground. I will post a thread on it's death when I receive same. Also, I used a Earl's cmpression fitting over the hardline coming from the tank and adpated it to -8AN with a fitting.

OMG!

Scott, your using much larger weber fittings then I;) What is that, about -20???

BTW, those weber fittings have been scarce lately. Not sure why:confused:

Now That's Funny.

Scott do you also have the P/N for the Webber to -8An?

I threw out all my packaging / part data

And the p/n# for -6An Pressure adapter unit for 1/8th inch sending units?

LOL@ Nowel ;) .

TMTT, I'm not sure if Summit has the -8AN Weber fittings, couldn't find them but I know they are available somewhere ???

Best bet is to call either Summit racing or Jegs, same for the -AN pressure port adapter. I checked the Summit Racing on-line and they list -6AN pressure gauge adapters but show the fitting as -AN to pipe thread, don't want to give you the wrong # ;) .

I just use the -6AN Webers, listed above and down size from -8AN to -6AN just before the inlet to the fuel filter. They really flow more than enough fuel, even with the TST box set on "KILL".

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Mark , Thats your best bet ..... Just grab the kit from ADT and that way you have everything. No games and life is good.

For all those that have a pusher on their truck and are thinking PE Pump ... . Invert the bracket that your current PUSHER is hanging from and just simply invert it so the PE is cradled by the bracket. make a drill template and make the (4) 1/4 20 holes and you are done. There are two holes in the frame allready if memory serves me right and laa you need to do is drill the third hole and bam! Pump ala~Mounte.
