I did a search and cant find a decent post... ... whats the scoop on just changing a O-? ring I am guessing at the dipstick and the block... . mine is starting to leak pretty good and make a mess.

I thought it was surface fit but found a post and it sounded like it actually pushes into the block hole to make the seal... ... you guys have any feedback on the job?

Thnx B.

No o-ring listed, just the pressfit tube. #1 in the illustration.

I used my '97 as a pattern, part needs to be looked up by your serial number before I would give you the number. It may be the same but should be verified.

I am crawling under it again in the morning and look at it, up behind the starter don't make it easy though... I cleaned it up real well a month ago, I thought the mess was from the vent tube after working the truck pulling... it's sure looking like it is pushing past the tube that goes in the block... . :(

It's a friction fit into the block. The one on my '92 broke off. I was lucky and threaded it and screwed in a bolt and pried it out. I happened to find a used one at my buddies and put it back in. Not fun!
