First Off... Happy Holidays!!! :D

I am considering purchasing Cummin's QuickCheck engine diagnostic tool but, want to flush out all other options first. I currently don't own a PalmPilot but, I do own a laptop. Before I am forced to purchase a PalmPilot out of necessity to utilize the QuickCheck tool, does anyone know of any software packages and cable hardware for laptops?

For everyone's reference, here's the link to Cummin's QuickCheck tool: http://www.cummins.com/quickcheck/index.html

Does anyone know if the QuickCheck III will work on our engines?

Here's one laptop package I found while searching the archives: http://www.obd-2.com/

Does anyone own this package? This option sounds more flexible than the QuickCheck tool but, how does it truly function?... . difficult to use or easy?

Thanks!

I have obd-2.com unit. And I know many other tdr people have it. It won't work with as many functions as the cummins. but will also work on other vehicles. I like it.

I've got a Cummins Quick Check II, and a Palm IIIc that I bought for my 00 and never got it installed. Would give someone a good deal on it, PM me if your interested.
