Ok, got it to connect and stay connected. THANKS. As far as the digital dash goes you need to send all data as previously stated. However all the paramaters you want to send must be listed. So how do you get paramaters in and out of the data list. Not obvious to me. Also it says I have no codes, but I do have codes, and just for kicks I tried to clear them and they are still there. Key back and forth method.

PS nobobdy was hurt in the crash !
Go to the
Data tab, click on the
PID Possible line then click
SEND.
It will take about 30 secondes to pull everything it knows to pull up, then you can either click the ALL data line and click on the OK every time a "
PID Not supported" box comes up, or you can do the manual way for the ones that I know will work.
OBD_STAT
LOAD_PCT (Load Percentage - how much load is on the engine)
ECT (Engine COolant Temp)
MAP (Mass Air Pressure - Boost - in inches of mercury - there is a conversion window under equasions)
RPM
VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor)
IAT (Intake Air Temperature)
TP (Throttle Position)
Click on each one then click
SEND. You might get lucky and have more sensors that will respond, this is all that I can get to work on my truck. After you have them all sending, click on
Favorites and then save it. This way the next time you hook up, all you have to do is open the favorites and select this scheme.
Ditto what was said above for the codes. Read on the code page, clear on the status page. ENGINE MUST BE OFF!
The best way to learn is to just play around with the program and the different options. The enhanced menu item is different for each car and on each tab.
