Unfortunately, No. The fast idle option is a programming change inside of the actual ECM. The only changing to an ECM that you can do vial OBD software is erasing codes.

Sorry

Kev, could you do it if you had the Insight (I think that’s what it’s called) software from Cummins. I asked my Cummins shop owner yesterday, they don’t have it either as they mostly work on bigger stuff. He said he would check it out, maybe the cost is prohibitive as well???

To be honest with you, I don't know. I actually don't have any experience with the insight stuff.

I would place money that the answer is no, again due to the fact that in order to get the high idle feature, you actually have to reflash the ecm. Hopefully someone that has the high idle feature can speak up, but according to some people that I know who program ECM's, it is a whole new revision of software that over writes what is on your current ECM. Personally, if I was interested in a high idle feature, I'd just go buy a high idle device and stay away from messing with the ECM. I've read and heard of too many issues with the latest revision of software :(

Hope this helps.

cold weather reprograming

this is covered by your federal emmisions warranty for up to 80,000 miles and should be done for free by dealer if under 80k miles. I had this done and works great real improvement in cold weather.
