The answer is MAYBE. There are pins for 5 networks inside the connector (one for Ford, one for GM, one for Chrysler... ). Some of these are point to point (one device at each end of the wire) and some are multi-drop (many devices share one wire). With the latter a Y adaptor would work. Chrysler uses "CAN" (multi-drop) but also used "Keyword Protocol 2000" (point to point).
 
On a friend's GM truck the OnStar system complains that it can't access the ECM if something is plugged into ODB2 port. But they're using a different network.
 
Interested in how the adapter worked. On my 2006 I have a Banks exhaust brake and also want to run an Edge 85100 monitor gauge.
Any input appreciated.
 
Hopefully you have better luck than I had.

I tried to do the same thing, and it DIDN"T WORK!!!

Each device just tried to keep powering up, so I ended up converting the Insight to the 12v version with all the EAS sensors so I could keep my Mini and CTS working...
