I have had this happen twice in the last couple months. Truck running fine, stop and cut engine off for about 30 minutes and when I try to start it, it only cranks over but will not start. I leave it sitting for another short period of time and it starts as normal. I had code PO336 crankshaft position sensor when I checked codes. Can the CPS cause a no start at random times like this? I have replaced it one time in 2007. When I replaced it then I had the PO336 code come up but did not have any no start issues. Truck has 160K on it. TIA for any info or advice.

When you have a no start have you tried moving the shifter to neutral or wiggle the shifter, to see if it might be the safety switch. When I had the cps code I did not have any no start.

That is a good idea. I will try it if it happens again. I will probably go ahead and replace the CPS since it threw a code but I can't be sure that caused the no start until I replace it and get some miles on it. Thanks for your advice. Will post any info that might be useful.
