I have a 93 with AT, First AT I have ever had with a Cummins, I have had 3 others, 93 5sp, 97 5sp, 06 6sp.

I got this truck in a trade for a Dodge 1/2 ton.

At hwy speed it will eraticly shift in and out of OD, But not all the time.

Is there a connection somewhere I should be looking at? or a sensor?

What rear(s) do you have ? on a 93 likely 3:54 with 160 or so HP Does it shift on flat ground or small hills ? I had a under powered Ford gasser that would do the same thing when ever I encountered a small crest in the road.

The install of the Radio Shack pot and some wire with connectors will be well below the price quoted above. I have not seen the above mentioned kit, but I suppose it would be just fine if you don't want to source any of the items yourself.

I happen to operate a school bus garage and so all I purchased from radio shack was the pot and knob at the cost of 5. 00 and change.

Wow, of all the replacement parts I have found for my truck I didn't think $38 was a lot of money. I must have way bigger problems than the rest of you guys.

could be the tps but, I had a similar OD issue, I went thru all of the tests/tried adjusting the tps etc, turned out the OD solenoid was loose on the valve body. One of the attaching bolts was about 1/2 turn from falling out and the other was barely finger snug.
