Ok, this one has me a bit confused, maybe someone out there has seen something like this before.

Here's the truck info:

96 12-valve

Fuel Pressure ~22 @ Idle and ~32 @ 2000RPM

Timing 15. 5

New fuel filter, the last one looked fine and didn't show any signs of contamination.

3k GSK

Clean air filter

#10 plate

AFC full forward

SBC Con-OFE

The Problem:

I changed out the stock 215 injectors for a new set of PDR 370's, but you can't tell it by driving the truck.

Before the swap I could get 36-38 psi of boost and 1300-1400 EGT, and after the swap I don't see nor feel any appreciable change in boost, egt, or power.

Any thoughts as to what gives?

Thanks for looking,

Mike

Power

Can your delivery valves flow enough fuel? Maybe the injection pump can not produce enough pressure to increase your mass flow rate.

Glenn

Your delivery valves will work fine with those injectors since you have the 5 speed. I would call Piers. There will be a noticeable difference in the way the truck runs once everything is set up right.

Jim

no additional power

Make sure your AFC lines are hooked up, or the AFC arm won't move forward and get out of the way and allow additional fueling. Sort of acts like an inadvertant valet valve.

This is the only thing I can think of. Hope it helps. Greg L

Thanks for the replies.

I have checked the gov. lever and it hits right at the lower tip of the plate which I believe is just as it should be. Don't get me wrong, it feels strong just no real 'kick in the pants' that I had expected from installing the 370's.

I'll have to play with it a little, I spoke to a member here and I am curious if I might be sucking air someplace so I need to go look at that a little.

Anyhow, thanks for looking.
