Odd REF radio problems

My stock ref am,fm,cd radio is acting up. last week no sound then back to normal.

Today the clock would not show up but radio worked ok.

Im thinking it's the 1st sign of the original 06 batteries failing?

Anyone else have radio trouble as a sign of failing batts?
